What we do, in plain language.
We come to your home on a regular schedule and check the small things that matter most for staying safe and comfortable at home. Loose handrails. Dim hallways. Smoke detector batteries. Caulking around the shower. A dozen other things you stopped noticing years ago.
Most of it takes minutes. Caught early, it stays small.
We don't do emergencies. We don't do renovations. We don't do anything that needs an electrician, a plumber, or a contractor. If we find something that does, we'll tell you exactly who to call.
We do one thing: regular, preventive home safety. So you can keep your independence in the home you know, with your home working the way you want it to.

What a visit actually looks like.
We arrive on time. We walk the home with you if you want, or we work quietly while you go about your day. Your choice.
We check the five domains, fix what we can fix on the spot, and write down what we found, what we did, and what (if anything) might need attention later.
Before we leave, you get a written summary. Photos of anything worth flagging. A clear note about anything outside our scope. And confirmation of when the next visit is scheduled.
Visits run 60 to 90 minutes. The first one is longer because we're walking the full home and building the record.
You're in charge. We just keep the small stuff small.
- You decide what we do. If we find something you'd rather leave alone, we leave it alone. No pressure, no upsell.

Who runs Safe & Sound.
Safe & Sound is founder-led by Jordan McNeely in Leland, NC. Locally owned. Bonded, insured, and background-checked. Every visit follows the same five-domain checklist on every home, every time.
This isn't a franchise and it isn't a national chain. It's a local business built around one idea: most of what threatens a homeowner's independence at home isn't dramatic. It's small things, caught too late.
So we catch them early.
Questions we hear often.
How long is a visit?
Most visits run 60 to 90 minutes. The first baseline visit is longer, usually two to three hours, because we're walking the full home and building the record.
What if I'm not home?
Most members are home for their visits. Many enjoy the company. If you can't be there, we can arrange access ahead of time, with your permission.
What if you find something serious?
We document it, explain it, and point you to the right professional. An electrician, plumber, doctor, or contractor depending on what we found. We don't pressure you and we don't take a cut from anyone.
Can a family member be part of the conversation?
Yes, if you'd like. With your permission, we can share visit reports with whoever you designate. A son or daughter, a sibling, a neighbor, anyone you trust. You decide who sees what. Most of our members keep their reports private; some share them with family. Your choice.
What if I want to cancel?
Month-to-month, 30 days' written notice. No cancellation fee, no penalty, no awkward calls. We'd rather have members who genuinely want to be members.
What does "Founding Member" mean?
The first 25 households we enroll get the founding rate locked for life, as long as they stay continuously enrolled. After 25, we move to standard pricing. It's not a discount or a sale. It's a thank you to the homeowners who help us build this right.
